What is Indigenous + Urban about? Our brand is inspired by our experiences living in Toronto and Hamilton. We are proud of our indigeneity - the beauty, strength, and love of both our home nation and our home communities in Hamilton & Toronto. We created Indigenous + Urban to fill a gap we had noticed in the city. We both have been taking Kanien’kéha (Mohawk) and Gayoghó:no (Cayuga) language courses. While the city is filled with international languages, our languages were missing from the landscape. Indigenous + Urban aims to fill our city landscapes with our languages and cultures.

Who owns and operates Indigenous + Urban?Indigenous + Urban is owned by Victoria & Natalie Bomberry. We are Rotinonhsón:ni from Six Nations of the Grand River.

I can buy tees for $10 or less. Why should I buy from Indigenous + Urban for more? While we can't speak to the quality of the other tees/clothing out there, we take care in ensuring our materials are of good quality that will shine with you wherever you go. Your Indigenous + Urban purchases also help us and our children to continue our studying our language and provides us space to participate in our cultural ceremonies.

Do you have a storefront we can visit? As a small company, opening a storefront with cafe is still just a dream! To support us in person, we invite you to meet us on the Powwow Trail this summer (2024)! Updates will be provided as we confirm our tables.
-
When can I expect my order? We are a small order-to-print shop. When you submit your order, Victoria or Natalie get to work connecting your purchase with our suppliers. Right now, most orders arrive within 2 weeks or less. We're working with our suppliers to shorten this as we grow.
-
Do you accept returns? At this point, no we do not. As a small shop, each purchase is printed according to your order. We don't have the volume or warehouse that would make returns feasible. To avoid needing a return, please read sizes carefully and double check you've selected the right sizes. If a mistake is made, consider donating the shirt to a local Indigenous agency so someone can enjoy the wear!
